Nasal Polyps: Clinical Properties And Classification

Nasal polyp is a chronic inflammatory disease of the nose and paranasal sinus lining. It is a descriptive term which includes a wide spectrum of findings ranging from a single lesion to white out polyposis causing facial deformity. Several hypotheses have been put forward regarding the underlying mechanisms including chronic infection, aspirin intolerance, allergy and asthma.
