Positional Vertigo

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most common cause of vertigo. The elucidation of pathophysiologic mechanisms for positional vertigo and the development of safe and effective treatment maneuvers based upon these mechanisms constitute one of the most significant advances in neurootology over the past decade.
