Endoscopic Treatment Of Epistaxis

Epistaxis is the commonest otolaryngological emergency, which is often frustrating for the patients. Several options exist for the treatment of epistaxis ranging from nasal packing through sphenopalatine artery ligation to endovascular embolization. With the advent of and experience with endoscopic procedures, the surgical strategy has changed from transantral internal maxillary ligation to sphenopalatine artery ligation or diathermy.
