Type Of Thyroidectomy And Extent Of Thyroidectomy In Differentiated Thyroid Carcinomas

Thyroid masses are highly prevalent in the community. Total thyroidectomy seems to be the safest technique in the treatment of these patients however complications may be more embrassing than primary pathology. Moreover some authors believe total thyroidectomy to be overtreatment.
