Management Of Neck In Thyroid Cancer

Management of non-mucosal cancers of the head and neck differs significantly from that of squamous cell carcinoma, both for the primary tumor and for nodal basins. Thyroid cancers have unique biological and clinical behavior in this group and thus deserve special attention. On one hand, papillary and follicular carcinoma of the thyroid have excellent survival rate reaching 98%, on the other hand anaplastic carcinoma has virtually no survival.
